Fifth Day (9th Nov): - went back to the inn to have breakfast Sixth Day (10th Nov)
- woke up at 5.30am to see UNKAI (cloud scenary) at the mountains. it was pretty, like a painting. and because i was only half-asleep when we went there, i forgot to wear my socks -_- and so my toe nails were like turning purple. hahahs.
This is me and angela. i was admiring the scenary, and she came to join me. i was showing her my purple toe nails in the pic, that's why i look like a one-legged.
- set off to visit the mayor of takachiho cho
- visited the farm industry department of takachiho high school with their students. there were cows, flowers, vegetables, bamboos, tea leaves etc etc etc. we were shows how rice were being processed, how chopsticks were carved and made.
- our school then planted a cherry tree :) with the takachiho students. last year's batch planted one too, but now looked as if it had withered. hahha.
- had exchanging of gifts with the takachiho high school students, before we bid farewell.
- the guys there are so cute..when our bus left, a few of them were imitating those drama shows, and started running after our bus. HAHAHA.
- headed for Shirakawa riverhead, when we tried their natural mineral water, which is said to have the best quality in japan.
- had lunch. there were so many fat houseflies! eleanor and i tried shooing one fat one away. i shooed it to eleanor, then eleanor shooed it but the back of her hand hit it into my miso soup. HAHA. and the housefly drowned in less than 10s. lol.
- set off for Mt Aso (active volcano). we didnt manage to go up that volcano as it was emmiting too much gas (sulphur dioxide) :( rather disappointed. so in the end, we went to their Mt Aso Musuem to watch a 17min video clip.
- there were horses there available for rides too!
my favourite horse that likes me too! (unlike the grumpy one chai likes. HAHA)
- went SHOPPING :)
- checked in at a hotel - Kencho-mae green hotel
- visited the Kumamoto Castle (400 years of history), but only its dungeon. the castle's HUGE! ohyes, while viewing the pieces at the gallery, this old man went to sneeze/cough right into the right side of my face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yuck. i can feel some stuff on my face (saliva??!) and i was frantically wiping it off :( i was telling myself that if i fall sick, this old man is to be blamed. haha
- had buffet for lunch
- on the bus, i discovered chai's talent in drawing!
- went for fruit-picking after that (persimmons). went along with chai in search of our persimmons. very fun. we were only allowed to pick 8 persimmons. so chai and i were aiming for those fruits high up in the branches..we would pull the branch then snip the fruit off, and then go "aiya! it's yellow on the other side!" -_- Chai kept banging inot things in 'my secret garden' too. she's jinxed, muahahaha. she banged into persimmons, leaves, black wires and tripped. heh. and after we picked 8 persimmons, we saw even more beautiful ones hanging on the branches 'calling out' to us. so we were like thinking of ways to accidentally pluck those pretty ones so taht we can have an excuse to keep it. but being good girls, of course we didnt do so. =)
and I!
- proceeded to fukuoka science musuem. their brochure was hilarious..at a page where we were supposed to get a stamp, it wrote "please insert this into my breast to get a stump.". HAHAHAHA. we went to the top floor to get that 'stump' (haha)and i accidentally damaged the machine. it wasnt on purpose!!! it was like this: my page was already stamped by some other chop, so i didnt want that stamp to get stamped onto the chop (after seeing what happened to chai's). so i placed a paper over the brochure, tried to secure it, and inserted it into the stamper's so called breast. but when i wanted to get the paper out, it detached from the brochure and was stuck in the stamper :( gwen tried stamping after me, and her stamp was normal. but on the bus, some students saw chai's and they were like "eh, why yours so nice..mine only half leh!". oops. ms chee was staring daggers at me..she was like "who is the culprit...tell me now", in a joking way, cos her stamp was only half the original one too. haha. *laughs sheepishly.
- went to watch a 6min planetary movie clip after that. nice.
me and the stamper
eleanor's ice cream is some cappucino expresso, mine's maluk no trick (i was attracted to its colour-purple pink and white) while gwen's one is rock choc ball? im not sure. haha.

- CANAL CITY: shopping :D
- after shopping, we met up and walked back to the hotel. on the way back, one group of us got lost :( and coincedentally, i was trying to learn how to say get lost in Japanese language from chai. chai said cos we lept saying get lost, we got lost in the end. HAHAHAHA. but in the end, yuri found us. YAY! actually, i was quite happy when we were lost. hahahhaha. it was so exciting..a totally new experience to get lost with your friends in a place you're totally unfamiliar with :D so thrilling. hahaha.
